Arrest Made in a Felony Assault on a Police Officer Offense: 4200 Block of 4th Street, Southeast

 
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District announced an arrest has been made in reference to a Felony Assault on a Police Officer offense that occurred on Thursday, July 4, 2019, in the 4200 block of 4th Street, Southeast.

At approximately 1:02 pm, the suspect approached a uniformed MPD officer at the listed location. The suspect pointed and discharged a lit firework in the direction of the officer. The suspect then fled the scene. The officer was treated for non-life threatening injuries sustained from the firework.

On Thursday, October 3, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 15-year-old juvenile male, of Southwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Felony Assault on a Police Officer.
