Arrest Made in a Homicide: 200 Block of New York Avenue, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announced an arrest has been made in reference to a homicide that occurred on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, in the 200 block of New York Avenue, Northwest.

At approximately 12:27 pm, members of the Third District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an unconscious adult male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and determined the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The decedent has been identified as 32 year-old Louis Kingsbury, of Southeast, DC.

On Tuesday, May 5, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 22 year-old Ch’Juan Robinson, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder while Armed (Premeditated).
