Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 2600 Block of Douglass Road, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, February 24, 2020, in the 2600 block of Douglass Road, Southeast.

At approximately 7:34 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and EMS transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Investigation at the scene indicated that the offense occurred inside a residential building and was a result of a dispute between known parties.

On Monday, February 24, 2020, a 17-year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
