Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 2300 Block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Monday, February 10, 2020, in the 2300 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest.

At approximately 11:36 pm, members of the Third District were flagged down by a citizen at the listed location. The citizen informed officers that a suspect brandished a knife at him. The suspect was located and arrested by responding officers.

On Monday, February 10, 2020, 25-year-old Anar Sahibali Alizada, of Bethesda, MD, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
