Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 900 Block of Decatur Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Monday, April 20, 2020, in the 900 block of Decatur Street, Northwest.

At approximately 8:58 pm, the suspect and victim were engaged in a dispute at the listed location. During the dispute, the suspect assaulted the victim and brandished a knife. The suspect stabbed the victim and then fled the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

On Tuesday, May 19, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 29 year-old Jesse L. Alston, Jr., of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
