Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon Offense: 1000 Block of 2nd Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon offense that occurred on Monday, May 18, 2020, in the 1000 block of 2nd Street, Northeast.

At approximately 3:43 pm, the suspect and victim were engaged in an altercation at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect struck the victim with a brick. The suspect then fled the scene. The suspect was later apprehended by Fifth District officers. The victim suffered from non-life threatening injuries and was treated on scene.

On Monday, May 18, 2020, 31 year-old Diamond Tilghman, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
