Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon Offense: 2200 Block of Bladensburg Road, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District announced that an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon offense that occurred on Sunday, January 12, 2020, in the 2200 block of Bladensburg Road, Northeast.

At approximately 2:24 am, the suspect and the victims were involved in a physical altercation at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect sprayed both victims with pepper spray then struck one of the victims with a pair of pliers. The suspect was arrested by responding officers.

On Sunday, January 12, 2020, 29 year-old Kamia Okoro of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
