Arrests Made in Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

Second District:

On Saturday, August 1, 2020, 22-year-old Vochon Kemp, of Norfolk, VA, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Saturday, August 1, 2020, in the 1100 block of 19th Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-109-035

At approximately 10:00 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect then snatched the victim’s property. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

Fourth District:

On Friday, July 31, 2020, a 13 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Monday, July 27, 2020, in the 600 block of Irving Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-107-489

At approximately 8:54 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

On Sunday, August 2, 2020, 24 year-old Lashawn Alexander, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for an Unarmed Carjacking offense that occurred on Sunday, August 2, 2020, in the 1400 block of Sheridan Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-110-347

At approximately 5:40 pm, the suspect entered the victim’s vehicle at the listed location. The suspect then fled the scene in the vehicle.

Fifth District:

On Thursday, August 6, 2020, 26 year-old Terrell Ray Baker, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for Robbery (Snatch), Unarmed Carjacking, and Assault on a Police Officer offenses that occurred on Thursday, August 6, 2020, in the 2500 block of Benning Road, Northeast. CCN: 20-112-201

At approximately 10:46 pm, the suspect approached the victims while they were inside their vehicle at the listed location. The suspect reached inside the vehicle, snatched the victim’s keys and cellphone, and fled the scene. The suspect was then apprehended by responding officers.

On Friday, August 7, 2020, 18 year-old Jabari Davis, of Laurel, MD and a 15 year-old Juvenile Male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Carjacking offense that occurred on Friday, August 7, 2020, in the 1800 block of Newton Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-112-536

At approximately 1:42 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a firearm at the victim and took the victim’s car keys. The suspects entered the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
