Arrests Made in Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

Second District:

• On Thursday, October 1, 2020, 37 year-old Florial Agostini, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for an Assault With Intent to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Thursday, October 1, 2020, in the 1500 block of 17^th Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-140-124
  • At approximately 6:30 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect demanded property from the victim while holding a flower pot. When the victim did not comply, the suspect struck the victim with the flower pot then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

Sixth District:

• On Sunday, September 27, 2020, 20 year-old Shayne Henderson, Jr., of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Fear) offense that occurred on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, in the 4200 block of Benning Road, Northeast. CCN: 20-131-837
  • At approximately 3:02 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect reached into his waistband, implying he had a weapon, and demanded property from the victim. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene with the victim’s property.
• On Tuesday, September 29, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 23 year-old Ronnell Leak, Jr., of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, in the 200 block of 36^th Street, Southeast. CCN: 20-111-236
  • At approximately 1:32 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. Two of the suspects brandished handguns and took the victim’s property. One of the suspects fled on the victim’s motorcycle and two of the suspects fled on foot. This case remains under investigation.
• On Saturday, September 26, 2020, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) and an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, September 26, 2020, in the 300 block of 50^th Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-137-537
  • At approximately 2:33 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and assaulted the victim. The suspect took US currency the fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
