Statement on the Management Agreement Between Howard University Hospital and Adventist HealthCare

(Washington, DC) – Today, after Howard University Hospital and Adventist HealthCare announced a new three-year management agreement to operate Howard University Hospital, Mayor Bowser released the following statement:

“As we continue to transform the health care landscape in Washington, DC so that it better meets the needs of all our residents, we look forward to working with Howard University Hospital and Adventist HealthCare to realize their vision and deliver for the residents of Washington, DC. This agreement solidifies the rich tradition of providing high-quality health care services on Georgia Avenue and to the surrounding community. In addition, we can all be proud that the District of Columbia will remain home to the largest producer of African American doctors in the country — the Howard University College of Medicine.”
