Suspect Sought in a Theft Two Offense: 1100 Block of Abbey Place, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in reference to a Theft Two offense that occurred on Saturday, February 22, 2020, in the 1100 block of Abbey Place, Northeast.

At approximately 12:50 pm, the victim let her dog out into her fenced in yard at the listed location. The suspect took the dog from the location then fled the scene.

The stolen dog can be seen in the photo below. The dog is described as a 3 year-old tan and white pit-bull that goes by the name “Lady”.

Anyone who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. Crime Solvers of Washington, DC currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
