Press ReleaseDetectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.
Third District:
On Saturday, June 20, 2020, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Southwest, DC, and a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Saturday, June 20, 2020, in the 900 block of U Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-090-493
At approximately 1:11 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then attempted to flee the scene but were apprehended by responding officers.
Fourth District:
On Sunday, June 21, 2020, 28 year-old Anthony Johnson, of no fixed address, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Monday, June 8, 2020, in the 900 block of Madison Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-085-295
At approximately 7:30 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene.
On Monday, June 22, 2020, a 13 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for an Assault with Intent to Rob offense that occurred on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, in the 1300 block of Upshur Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-085-867
At approximately 3:00 am, the suspects approached the victims at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victims and attempted to take their property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
On Tuesday, June 23, 2020, 26 year-old Marcele Traquine, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery of an Establishment offense that occurred on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, in the 5500 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 20-092-018
At approximately 4:30 pm, the suspect entered an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took money from the register then fled the scene.
Fifth District:
On Friday, June 26, 2020, 23 year-old Trayvon Deandre Hardy, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery offense that occurred on Friday, June 26, 2020, in the 1400 block of Morse Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-093-318
At approximately 11:42 am, the suspect approached two victims at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and attempted to take property. The suspect was unsuccessful and fled the scene to a different location, within the First District, where he approached three victims and brandished a handgun. The suspect took property from the victims and attempted to flee the scene. The victims were able to detain the suspect until officers responded. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers and charged with both offenses.
Seventh District:
On Wednesday, June 24, 2020, 47 year-old Johnny Head, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Assault with Intent to Rob offense that occurred on Thursday, June 24, 2020, in the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 20-092-530
At approximately 4:33 pm, the suspect entered an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene but was apprehended by responding officers.
