Arrest Made in an Assault with Intent to Kill while Armed (Gun) Offense: 1300 Block of Congress Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault With Intent to Kill while Armed (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, April 12, 2020, in the 1300 block of Congress Street, Southeast.

At approximately 8:50 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victims to area hospitals for treatment. One of the victims sustained life threatening injuries.

On Friday, May 8, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 38 year-old Quincy Jermaine Walters, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault With Intent to Kill while Armed (Gun).
