Caught In the Crossfire: Justice, Church & The State

Let the church say, “Amen”.  Have you been to church lately? Perhaps or maybe not.  Many people are caught in the crossfire and torn between the role of the church as it pertains to Justice and the State.  The old age law, separation among church and state, does that still exist?  If so, why are politicians always at the church doors when they’re open while the offering plate gets passed along the pew?

Around 300 Pastors gathered in Washington, DC at the African American Civil War Memorial and Museum to address concerns and strategies for “The Black Church Matters.”  The seminar was organized by Jamal H. Bryant, Founder and Pastor of Empowerment Temple in Baltimore, Maryland and the ex husband of Real Housewives of Potomac Gizelle.

When asked “has the Black church” failed the people as it relates to justice? Jamal Bryant says, “yes.”  Has the “Black Church helped you more spiritually or monetarily?
