Suspect Sought in an Assault on a Police Officer Offense: 800 Block of 16th Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in reference to an Assault on a Police Officer offense that occurred on Sunday, August 30, 2020, in the 800 block of 16^th Street, Northwest.

At approximately 1:07 am, the suspect directed a laser pointer into the eye of an MPD officer. The officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect in this case.
