Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District and investigators with the DC Arson Task Force seek the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects in reference to a Robbery and Arson offense that occurred on Sunday, March 8, 2020, in the 400 Block of 8th Street, Southeast.
At approximately 10:38 pm, two suspects entered an establishment at the listed location. One of the suspects ignited a flammable liquid then threw it at an employee. The same suspect then took merchandise after an attempt to take US currency from a cash register failed. Both suspects exited the established and fled the scene. There were no injuries reported.
The suspects were captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos below.
