Why the name SOLITON?

This introductory episode explains why the word SOLITON was selected for the name of the business. It also reflects my view of the accepted premise that when anything’s time has come there is nothing that can stop it. In mathematics and physics, a soliton is a self-reinforcing solitary wave that maintains its shape while it travels at constant speed. Kurt Johnson describes it as “an intelligent particle that has an associated awareness,” with “each person having a single soliton.” SOLITON, LLC is built upon a similar concept that everyone has a contribution, purpose or single-mindedness that makes them unique in the world. Just like no two fingerprints are alike, no two people’s lives leave the same mark on the world around them. Creativity starts with the recognition of the SOLITON within you. That singleness of mind or thought – that self-reinforcing energy that compels us all to move!
