Arrest Made in an Armed Carjacking (Gun) Offense: 1800 Block of Lamont Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday April 16, 2020, in the 1800 block of Lamont Street, Northwest.

At approximately 3:58 am, the suspect approached the victim while sitting in his vehicle at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim to exit the vehicle. The victim complied. The suspect then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

On Thursday, April 16, 2020, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun).
