Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 3100 Block of Mount Pleasant Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, in the 3100 block of Mount Pleasant Street, Northwest.

At approximately 11:39 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and cut the victim multiple times. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

On Thursday, April 16, 2020, 37 year-old Marvin Antonio Sagastume, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
