Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 700 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, April 6, 2020, in the 700 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.

At approximately 12:11 pm, a member of the First District was on patrol when the officer observed a suspect brandishing a handgun at a victim.  The suspect saw the officer and fled the location.  The suspect was apprehended and a handgun was recovered.
 
On Monday, April 6, 2020, 21 year-old Christian Anthony Davis-Gooding, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
