Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon Offense: 3300 Block of Water Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon offense that occurred on Friday, September 20, 2019, in the 3300 block of Water Street, Northwest

At approximately 2:29 pm, the suspect approached the victims at the listed location, demanding money. The suspect through a rock at the victims and attempted to flee the scene. The suspect was then apprehended by responding officers. No injuries were reported.
On Friday, September 20, 2019, 44 year-old Jogaak Malual, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Attempt to Commit Robbery, and Destruction of Property.
