MPD’s Weekly Firearm Recoveries:

June 1, 2020 to June 8, 2020

(Washington, DC) – Every day, the Metropolitan Police Department works to recover and investigate illegal firearms in Washington D.C. In addition to our patrol officers, the Department has specialized units—such as the Gun Recovery Unit (GRU), Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU), and Crime Suppression Teams (CSTs)—who work tirelessly to safely and respectfully secure illegal firearms and get them off of our streets. From Monday, June 1, 2020, through Monday, June 8, 2020, MPD detectives and officers recovered 31 firearms in the District of Columbia.

• A Hi-Point C9 9mm caliber handgun was recovered in the 500 block of Newcomb Street, Southeast. The following person was arrested: 40-year-old Jerome Williams, of Southeast, D.C., for Carrying a Pistol without a License and Possession of Unregistered Ammunition. CCN: 20-081-694

Wednesday, June 3, 2020

• A .357 caliber “Ghost Gun” handgun was recovered in the 1500 block of Butler Street, Southeast. CCN: 20-082-370

• A Glock 19 9mm caliber was recovered in the 900 block of Ingraham Street, Northwest. The following person was arrested: 26-year-old Tyree Dae Quan Stanley, of Northeast, D.C., for Carrying a Pistol without a License, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Ammunition Device, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, and Felon in Possession. CCN: 20-082-699

• A .357 Taurus revolver was recovered in the 1300 block of T Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-082-389

• A SCCY Industries 9mm caliber handgun was recovered in the 2900 block of Langston Place, Southeast. The following person was arrested: 19-year-old David Stubbs, of Northeast, D.C., for Carrying a Pistol without a License and Possession of Unregistered Ammunition. CCN: 20-082-441

• A Hi-Point C9 9mm caliber handgun (pictured below) was recovered in the 4300 block of 1^st Street, Southeast. CCN: 20-083-219

• A Glock 23 .40 caliber handgun was recovered in the 900 block of L Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-082-905

• A Taurus PT140 G2 .40 caliber handgun (pictured below) was recovered in the 2900 block of Nelson Place, Southeast. The following person was arrested: 20-year-old Deion Jones, of Laurel, MD, for Carrying a Pistol without a License, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition, and Possession of an Unregistered Firearm. CCN: 20-083-161

• A Springfield Armory XD .40 caliber handgun (pictured below) was recovered in the 5200 block of Just Street, Northeast. The following person was arrested: 30-year-old Jaquon Domonique Roseboro, of Northeast, D.C., for Felon in Possession, Carrying a Pistol without a License, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, and Possession of Unregistered Ammunition. CCN: 20-083-175

• A Glock 43 9mm caliber handgun (pictured below) was recovered in the 800 block of Bladensburg Road, Northeast. The following person was arrested: 20-year-old Corey Jamal Alston, of Northeast, D.C., for Carrying a Pistol without a License, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, and Possession of Unregistered Ammunition. CCN: 20-083-202

• A Smith & Wesson SD9VE 9mm caliber handgun (pictured below) was recovered in the 2800 block of Hartford Street, Southeast. The following person was arrested: 22-year-old Charles Demarco Best, of Clinton, MD, for Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Ammunition Device, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Carrying a Pistol without a License. CCN: 20-083-732

• A Mossberg 500AT 12 gauge shotgun was recovered in the 3100 block of Adams Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-083-385

• A Mossberg Bolt Action .22 caliber rifle, a Winchester Pump Action .22 caliber rifle, and a Daisy Lever Action 1894 rifle BB gun were recovered in the 4700 block of Reservoir Road, Northwest. CCN: 20-083-416

• A Smith & Wesson Airweight 442-2 .38 caliber revolver (pictured below) was recovered in the 1400 block of 42^nd Street, Southeast. CCN: 20-083

• A 9mm caliber “Ghost Gun” handgun (pictured below) was recovered in the 4400 block of Benning Road, Northeast. The following person was arrested: 43-year-old Corey James Foster, of Northeast, D.C., for Carrying a Pistol without a License, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition, Possession of a Large Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device, and False Impersonation of a Police Officer. CCN: 20-083-534

• An AA Arms Inc. AP9 Tec9 9mm caliber machine gun (pictured below) was recovered in the 3500 block of Jay Street, Northeast. The following person was arrested: 31-year-old JaVon Henson, of Northeast, D.C., for Carrying a Pistol without a License, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition, Possession of a Large Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device, and Felon in Possession. CCN: 20-083-726

• A Glock 17 9mm caliber handgun (pictured below) was recovered in the 4700 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Southwest. The following person was arrested: 19-year-old Isaac Onazi, of Frederick, MD, for Carrying a Pistol without a License, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, Receiving Stolen Property, and Possession of a Large Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device. CCN: 20-084-141

• A Ruger Prescott 9E 9mm caliber handgun (pictured below) was recovered in the 3400 block of 22^nd Street, Southeast. The following person was arrested: 30-year-old Devaun Tyrese Green, of Northeast, D.C., for Carrying a Pistol without a License, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance while Armed, and Possession of a Large Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device. CCN: 20-084-022
