Suspect Sought in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 700 Block of 51st Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, March 7, 2020, in the 700 block of 51st Street, Southeast.

At approximately 5:43 pm, the suspect approached the victim after being involved in a verbal altercation. The suspect threatened the victim while indicating he had a firearm. As the victim fled from the scene, shots were fired at the victim’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.

The suspect was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos below:
